The yearning to belong is universal as stated in The Company of Others. I could not hold or subsume with any statement more. Having a good circle of friends, a network, a support group really do multicolour a persons level of happiness and self- worth. I personally name more fulfilled and content with my life when I weather that I belong, that I am valued, and bespeaked. I enjoyed Jeffs story. I found it to be very positive and uplifting. I rig out his story inspiring because of all the things he is passionate penny-pinching in his life, and all the muckle well-nigh him that offer him absolute support and encouragement, analogous family would. Not only had Jeff built beta and meaningful relationships among the members of his support network, Jeff had also started meeting and making friends on his own with local engineers, who are now also go against of his support network, and their wives as well. Not because this is function of their antic or their volunteer hours, but because they know what it feels like to be included and to belong which is something that everyone has a right to and deserves. I hold now with more awareness surrounding population with disabilities, people are becoming more accepting and brain of others whom they discriminate to be different from themselves and are more anxious(predicate) to conformation bonds and relationships that are rewarding and fulfilling for both parties. I agree that in order t o really understand ourselves, who we are, a! nd the world around us, we need to imagine the other.
